Livia Kell, FNP-C

Family Nurse Practitioner

Livia Kell, FNP-C, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with advanced training and certification in Functional Medicine. She specializes in caring for children with metabolic conditions, including high cholesterol, obesity, fatty liver disease, insulin resistance, and other disorders that influence cardiovascular health. Using a nutrition-centered, root-cause approach, Livia focuses on restoring metabolic balance, supporting heart health, and promoting long-term wellness in her pediatric patients.

With specialized experience in pediatric nutrition and cardiometabolic care, Livia creates individualized, root-cause treatment plans. She helps families understand the key drivers of metabolic dysfunction and empowers them with sustainable, evidence-based strategies for lasting health.

Livia joined Children’s Cardiovascular Medicine in 2024, where she collaborates closely with pediatric cardiologists to provide comprehensive, multidisciplinary care to children with metabolic and cardiovascular concerns.

She earned her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from South University and completed international certification as a Functional Medicine Provider through UNIGA University, where she trained under Dr. Lair Lair Ribeiro, a renowned cardiologist.  She is currently advancing her training through the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM) certification program.

Outside of her clinical practice, Livia enjoys nature, adventure, and travel. She loves camping, hiking, and exploring new places around the world. A dedicated humanitarian, she has volunteered in several countries to provide healthcare and education to underserved communities—work that continues to inspire her compassionate, culturally sensitive approach to care. Livia is also fluent in Portuguese and Spanish, allowing her to connect deeply with diverse families and broaden access to integrative pediatric care.
